Job summary

Midsouth Steel LLC seeks a Professional Structural Steel Engineer to lead the design and analysis of steel frames for diverse construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineers to deliver safe, efficient structures using advanced software and current design codes.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, a PE license, 5+ years of structural steel experience, and a proven ability to mentor junior engineers while driving quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • PE license required; additional certifications are a plus; Texas and Florida PE licenses are a plus and willingness to acquire other state licenses.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural steel engineering field.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, RISA Connect, RAM Connection.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes: AISC, AWS, ASCE, ACI, IBC and NDS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities
