Job summary

Lvi-Associates is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) in New York, NY, to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will lead structural design, analysis, and documentation across diverse projects, with opportunities to advance into project management and leadership roles.

Qualified applicants will have a NY PE license, a Civil/Structural degree (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with structural software; Revit experience is a plus.

Qualifications

PE license in New York is required.
Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
5+ years of structural engineering experience in consulting/design.
Strong background in structural calculations, analysis, and documentation.
Experience with structural design software; BIM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and supports across materials.
Develop calculations, reports, and design documentation.
Prepare construction drawings, specs, and related deliverables.
Review shop drawings and support construction-phase services.
Conduct site visits to document conditions and progress.
Evaluate structures for repair/retrofit options; assist in investigations.
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders throughout development.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Monitor project progress and identify risks or challenges.
