Job summary

Bechtel is leading the design, construction, and commissioning of a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. You will supervise Structural Field Engineers, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure safe, on-schedule, and high-quality field execution across all phases of installation.

The role requires strong leadership, technical judgment, and coordination with Engineering, Survey, Quality, and Procurement to deliver structural installations that meet design requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years total.
• Extensive knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous-metal construction processes.
• Ability to lead and mentor Structural Field Engineers and coordinate multiple disciplines.
• Experience developing installation work packages and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Structural Field Engineers; set priorities and provide direction.
• Develop Installation Work Packages and construction work plans.
• Coordinate with crafts, subcontractors, engineering, survey, quality, procurement and other disciplines to resolve issues.
• Review drawings and vendor data; ensure changes are communicated before installation.
• Lead material coordination and field verification for structural steel.
