Job summary

DC Engineering seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing Structural Engineering team in our in-house office. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience and a preference for a P.E./S.E. license, with strong wood-frame and concrete experience.

You will lead project teams, collaborate with architects and owners, and contribute to design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration across commercial projects. This role emphasizes teamwork and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• P.E. or S.E. license preferred but not required.
• Experience with wood-frame buildings and concrete foundations is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of construction drawings and calculation packages for commercial buildings.
• Interact with architects, owners, contractors, plan reviewers, and other disciplines to solve design challenges.
• Train and mentor junior staff on projects and workflows.
• Provide structural engineering services across all project phases: design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
