Job summary

DC Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (4+ years) to join our growing Structural Engineering team in Meridian, Idaho. A P.E. or S.E.

license is preferred but not required, and the role is in-office to enable close collaboration with project stakeholders. You will lead projects involving wood-framed buildings, concrete foundations, and related materials, coordinating with architects, owners, contractors, and other disciplines throughout design, permitting, bidding, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• P.E. or S.E. license preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with BIM concepts and Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small project teams (EITs and Revit designers) in developing construction drawings and calculation packages for commercial buildings and structures.
• Interact directly with architects, owners, contractors, plan reviewers, and other engineering disciplines to develop effective project solutions.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Provide structural engineering services across all phases of commercial projects, including design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Assist with proposals for new projects.
