Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer to join our Temporary Works group in a dynamic design and construction environment.

You will develop drawings and calculations for temporary structures, perform reviews, mentor EITs, and coordinate with construction teams to mitigate risk and ensure safety on bridge, cofferdam, and crane lift projects across North America.

Travel/relocation may be required; relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Accredited B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering; M.S. in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• Strong all-around knowledge of structural engineering principles.
• Experience with engineering design software (AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D).
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods (heavy lift plans, erection procedures, temporary supports).
• Perform/review calculations and designs per codes and client criteria.
• Ensure quality/accuracy of design deliverables and mitigate risks.
• Assist in project management: budgets, schedules, coordination with clients.
• Provide on-site design engineering support and mentoring for E.I.T.’s.
