Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer for its Temporary Works Group. You will design and review temporary structures, develop plans, and assist with risk mitigation to keep construction crews safe.

The role involves on-site coordination and collaboration with construction teams across multiple locations. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a PE license or eligibility in the United States.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods, including heavy lift plans and crane systems.
• Prepare erection procedures and sequences for construction or demolition.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning; ensure stability of temporary structures.
• Support excavation systems or cofferdams for below-grade construction.
• Perform on-site design engineering support and mentoring of E.I.T.s.
