Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering seeks an Experienced Structural Engineer for the Temporary Works Group in the New York/ New Jersey area. You will design temporary structures, review calculations, and develop plans while coordinating with on-site teams to keep projects safe and efficient.

Required are a Civil/Structural engineering degree and US PE licensure or eligibility, with 5–10 years of related experience. Expect site exposure, travel, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

Competenze

• Experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• Strong all-around knowledge of structural engineering.
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA-3D.

Mansioni

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods.
• Plan heavy lift operations, hoisting systems, and erection sequences.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure stability of temporary works.
• Support excavation systems, cofferdams, and temporary bridges/trestles.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with project teams.
