Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Roanoke, Virginia office's Building Engineering practice. This role involves leading structural engineering deliverables, overseeing construction activities, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a valid Professional Engineer license with at least 6 years of relevant experience. A hybrid work model is offered with potential relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant structural engineering experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Proven experience with major building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of structural engineering deliverables.
• Review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct conditions assessments and structural investigations.
