Job summary

SSOE Group is hiring a Structural Engineer to design and engineer tool installation support systems for semiconductor fab environments. You will prepare calculations, 3D models, drawings, and review packages, while coordinating with project managers and cross-discipline teams to ensure constructability and code compliance.

The role requires at least 5 years of structural experience, proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, and active PE licensure or eligibility within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
• Active PE license or eligibility to obtain by reciprocity within six months of hire.
• Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor/cleanroom facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination workflows, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Strong experience in structural analysis, design calculations, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with steel and concrete anchorage and facility modification work.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and respond to client comments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for tool installation support systems and platforms.
• Develop calculations, load paths, and basis-of-design documentation.
• Prepare and review 3D models, drawings, and connection concepts for cleanroom and subfab installations.
• Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, and cross‑discipline teams to align scope and delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, model coordination meetings, and issue-resolution sessions.
• Support clash and interface resolution with piping, cable tray, and equipment anchors.
• Evaluate field conditions and incorporate site findings into revisions and repair strategies.
• Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes.
• Track design changes and document impacts to scope, cost, schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters to strengthen technical judgment and coordination.
