Job summary

Wyatt Engineering, a Pasadena and Oakland-based structural and architectural firm, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead analyses and repair design for existing buildings. You will perform seismic evaluations, develop retrofit solutions, and review drawings for accuracy and constructability.

This full-time, remote-from-home role includes occasional local or in-state site visits, coordination with clients and teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with IBC, ASCE-7, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Professional licensure (PE or SE) in California preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analyses and design for existing buildings.
• Perform seismic evaluations and prepare calculations and design reports.
• Develop repair and retrofit solutions and review drawings for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams; conduct site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to firm best practices.
