Job summary

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) seeks a Senior Structural Engineer for a Hybrid/Remote role with a Indianapolis-based global engineering firm. This 5-month contract requires 10–20 years of structural design experience in steel and concrete, strong STAAD Pro expertise, and the ability to lead complex projects from concept through construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients, project managers and architects, and review calculations and drawings for code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering design experience; 10–20 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design activities from concept through construction.
• Perform and review structural calculations using hand methods, spreadsheets, Mathcad, and STAAD Pro.
• Design and evaluate steel framing, concrete structures, foundations, and connections.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, architects, and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and ensure quality control.
