ICON Technology in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the regulatory acceptance program for its 3D-printed building systems. The role involves structuring acceptance cases, translating codes into technical requirements, and coordinating with third‑party reviews.

Reporting to the Director of Building Regulatory Affairs, you will author analyses, oversee test plans, and ensure compliant, defensible documentation for complex projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of professional structural engineering experience including design or testing.
• Strong understanding of mechanics of materials and structural analysis.
• Experience with codes governing structural acceptance (IBC/IRC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM).
• Ability to analyze data and draw defensible conclusions.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a senior technical engineer on the regulatory team and structure acceptance cases.
• Translate code requirements (IBC/IRC, ICC-ES AC509, UFC, ASTM) into technical needs.
• Own regulatory review of test plans, specimens, and test matrices.
• Independently author analyses and evaluation reports for complex cases.
• Define QC outcomes for regulatory acceptance of additive concrete construction.
• Manage third‑party review relationships including ICC-ES.
