Job summary

Platinum Global Talent Solutions seeks a Senior Bridge Structural Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project in the NY/NJ corridor. You will lead bridge design and technical reviews, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet codes, standards, and project requirements.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years of bridge/structural experience on major infrastructure programs, with proficiency in design software and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil, structural, or related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 10 years of bridge and structural engineering experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced expertise in bridge design, analysis, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency with structural engineering software and design tools.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes, testing, and inspection for bridge structures.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator able to lead multidisciplinary teams and produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and technical review of bridge and structural components, ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.
  • Provide constructability, feasibility, and value engineering input to optimize bridge design and sustainability.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals from engineers and contractors, ensuring integration with adjacent project elements.
  • Offer technical support during construction, resolving field issues and overseeing bridge-related activities.
  • Monitor construction progress, review RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely delivery of bridge milestones.
  • Implement and support QA/QC plans, including audits, inspections, and testing compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and acceptance documentation for structural works.
  • Contribute to schedule and cost control efforts, and support risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare technical reports and participate in coordination meetings with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements, and advise on safety improvements for bridge construction.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Bridge Structural Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).
