Job summary

AES Renewables is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to support design development, project engineering, and construction of photovoltaic, substation, and battery storage facilities. You will collaborate with AES teams and external vendors to review and refine structural concepts in utility-scale projects.

The role includes up to 25% travel, remote/work-from-office flexibility, and opportunities to influence foundation strategies, costing, and QA processes across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Professional engineering license or progression toward licensure.
• Experience with PV, BESS, HV substation and overhead lines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review structural designs, calculations, and RFI responses for projects.
• Provide technical input and reviews for OE engagements and external vendors.
• Develop and maintain structural specifications and design tools.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify cost-saving structural options.
