Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the IPA team’s structural discipline in Minnetonka, MN. The role involves guiding design to project completion, mentoring staff, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust structural solutions.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with structural analysis tools, enabling effective client collaboration and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural discipline on multiple projects.
• Perform calculations and oversee construction documents.
• Act as Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
• Delegate tasks, plan resources, and manage workloads.
• Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
• Ensure projects stay within scope and budget.
• Lead QA reviews and ensure structural engineering principles are applied.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Provide technical direction and support throughout execution.
• Mentor engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Civil teams.
• Prepare proposals and participate in client meetings.
• Travel domestically 5% or less.
