Job summary

LVI Associates in Toledo, OH, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Coordinator to join its growing structural team. This hybrid role blends hands-on design with project delivery, supporting a wide range of commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8-12 years of structural engineering consulting experience.
• PE license preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineering design using steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and prestressed concrete.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and specs per US codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Support practical structural solutions across project types.
• Assist with scheduling, deliverable tracking and internal coordination.
• Serve as a key liaison between engineers, architects, contractors and clients.
• Participate in design reviews, meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Support proposals, scope definition and fee development.
• Conduct site visits and structural assessments as required.
• Document existing conditions and support construction-phase activities.
