The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis and have 8–12 years of experience. The position involves design responsibilities and potential for field investigations.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8–12 years of structural engineering consulting experience.
• Experience designing structures using applicable codes including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
• Familiarity with structural modeling in a BIM environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and design structural systems using various materials.
• Collaborate with department staff on economic structural systems.
• Prepare structural calculations and design drawings.

Skills

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Structural engineering consulting experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities
