Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) in New York, NY to join our growing team. You will perform structural analysis, develop calculations and drawings, and support construction-phase services while collaborating with other disciplines.

The role offers exposure to diverse projects, leadership opportunities, and a path toward project management. Candidates should have a NY PE and 5+ years of experience in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience in consulting/design.
• Strong background in calculations, analysis, and construction documentation.
• Experience with structural analysis software and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building and support structures.
• Develop calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Prepare construction drawings, details and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries.
• Conduct site visits to document conditions and observe progress.
• Evaluate existing structures and develop rehab/retrofit solutions.
• Participate in investigations and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
