The role focuses on structural steel design for low-rise commercial buildings, with potential to learn a new industry. PE license required; salary up to $150,000 with 1.5x overtime; full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with structural steel design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (Risa 3D, Enercalc, Woodworks).
• Excellent communication and project management skills. Must manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and calculations for low-rise commercial and industrial buildings.
• Coordinate with drafting staff creating detailed drawings using CAD/BIM software.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and support investigations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and code compliance.
• Review construction documents and handle shop drawings and submittals.
• Provide technical support during construction phases and address structural issues.
