Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for multiple California offices, including Irvine, Los Angeles, Carlsbad, Sacramento, or Concord. You will lead structural analyses for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry, directing model development, drawings, and specs to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities include design reviews for regulatory compliance, coordination with other disciplines, and client meetings to assess needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the development of models, drawings, and specifications for structural projects.
• Reviews draft designs for compliance with regulations and signs off on completed designs.
• Coordinates designs with other engineering disciplines and team members.
• Performs structural condition assessments and related tasks.
• Mentors junior staff and provides guidance on projects.
