Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in the United States (Nevada/Las Vegas area). The role will review structural documents, coordinate the structural design team, and ensure code compliance across development phases.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a PE license with experience in a consulting environment. You will work with software tools like AutoCAD, RISA, RAM, ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, Tedds, and SAP, contributing to high‑profile projects and the built

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required by licensing board for position.
Previous structural engineer experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, STAAD, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS and SAFE or similar software.
Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred.
Active participation in employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
Write and edit structural specifications; select procedures and materials; perform calculations.
Coordinate the structural design team through design development and CD phases.
Attend meetings with governing agencies for code compliance.
Lead design development and CD sessions at project site with PM and other disciplines.
Coordinate workload through design development and CD phases to meet schedule.
Coordinate with affected disciplines and process RFIs, change proposals and change orders.
Perform other duties as needed.
