HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Buildings to join our team in the Reno area. You will apply advanced structural analysis and project leadership to complex building projects, mentoring staff and coordinating with design teams.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS and SAFE. Local experience in Nevada is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience for building design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or recognized by the licensing board.
• Experience with design calculations and layouts in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Knowledge of gravity and lateral analysis.
• Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a technical expert in structural engineering for projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
• Plan and develop projects or design activities.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of position.
• Perform other duties as needed.
