Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a seasoned Sr. Structural Engineer (P.E./S.E.) to lead the design, analysis, and delivery of building projects in Rockford, IL.

You will oversee steel, concrete, and precast systems and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with architects and MEP teams. Responsibilities include performing load calculations, producing drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring code-compliant, safe designs for commercial, residential, and industrial

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural engineering experience, with leadership on building projects.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural License is required.
• Proficient in structural analysis, load calculations and foundation design.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Revit for drawings and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering design and analysis for commercial, residential, and industrial projects, including steel, concrete, precast, and foundation systems.
• Perform detailed load calculations, structural analysis, and foundation investigations to develop safe, efficient designs that meet client requirements and applicable building codes.
• Produce and review structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit; ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules; provide cost-effective design recommendations and value engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve design issues, review submittals, and support construction phases.
• Provide technical mentorship and oversight to junior engineers and drafters; conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks.
