Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our New York office. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering and be able to obtain a PE license.

This full-time contract-to-hire role focuses on design, analysis, and construction administration for a reinforced concrete building with some structural steel, onsite five days a week. Applicants typically have 3–10+ years of experience and are proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Ability to obtain a PE license.
• 3–10+ years of structural engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for a new building project.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop project designs.
• Assist in project management tasks such as coordination of internal and external comments and to-do items.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings and reports using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Review construction plans for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Ensure projects comply with local building codes and regulations.
• During construction, assist with review of submittals and RFIs.
• Visit the construction site as required.
• Assist entry/junior structural engineers.
