Job summary

GAMARC Consulting in New York seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis on diverse projects. You will prepare calculations, review drawings, and coordinate with architects and owners to ensure successful outcomes.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience and demonstrate strong communication skills alongside proficiency in AutoCAD, SAFE, Etabs, RAM, and Revit.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design light gauge (cold-formed steel) structural drawings.
• Design and analyze concrete structures according to the ACI code.
• Familiarity with New York structural/civil codes.
• Design underpinning and excavation support for both new and existing structures.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, and design analysis.
• Provide construction-related services, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to requests for information, conducting periodic site observations, and performing occasional specialized structural inspections.
• Proficiency in structural software such as AutoCAD, SAFE, Etabs, RAM, and Revit.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project owners to ensure successful project completion.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both internal and external.
