Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Baltimore County, MD office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their Marine Structures team. This is not a remote position and offers growth within a strong project-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months), experience in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and structural software like STAAD, RAM, ETabs and MathCAD. You will mentor EITs and lead project efforts from design through submittal.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and related structural design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and leading of projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering.
• Perform structural design calculations and plan production activities while maintaining Quality Control.
• Lead construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Meet with clients, contractors, and design team members to support projects.
• Identify opportunities through networking with clients.
