Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Louisville seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio of projects from concept through construction. You will manage client relationships, mentor engineers and BIM professionals, and collaborate across KPFF’s national network to deliver high-quality structural solutions.

Qualifications

PE license is required; SE license preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering; Masters preferred.
8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience with leadership and client interaction.
Strong project management background with owners/contractors.
Proficiency in ETABS, RAM, and RISA 3D.
Knowledge of IBC/ASCE/ACI/AISC standards.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and execution of structural projects from concept to construction.
Manage scope, schedule, budgets, and resources.
Serve as technical leader and mentor for engineers and BIM professionals.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
Oversee calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
Contribute to mentorship-driven culture.
Support KPFF’s vision of teams and client relationships.
