KPFF Consulting Engineers in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio from concept through construction, growing client relationships and mentoring engineers and BIM professionals.

Ideal candidate has PE license, 8+ years of progressive experience, and a strong background in project management, ETABS, RAM, and RISA 3D, with solid knowledge of IBC/ASCE/ACI/AISC.

Qualifications

• PE license is required; SE license preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years progressive structural engineering experience with leadership of complex projects
• Strong background in project management with owners/contractors
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D)
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC design standards
• Collaborative leadership and mentorship mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of structural projects from concept through construction
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and team resources
• Serve as technical leader and mentor for engineers and BIM professionals
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
• Oversee engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
• Participate in structural assessments, feasibility studies, and site investigations
• Foster a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture focused on technical excellence and growth
• Support KPFF’s vision of strong teams and excellent client relationships
