Job summary

You will collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and business professionals to develop integrated solutions, produce construction documents, perform analyses, and communicate recommendations. A PE license or comity is preferred, with extensive experience and leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year university.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience (20+ years preferred for senior-level candidates).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure by comity in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
• Advanced understanding of basic structural systems, design processes, and general architecture/engineering practices.
• High level of collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong time management skills to balance project demands and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and business professionals to develop integrated, high-quality design solutions.
• Work independently and guide team members to produce construction documents, including plans and specifications.
• Perform structural engineering analysis and develop design calculations to support project objectives.
• Prepare engineering studies and detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Develop construction cost estimates and validate them against industry benchmarks.
• Manage project-specific requirements, including scope, budget, and timelines.
• Develop structural engineering fee proposals and contracts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and firm growth.
• Mentor and direct junior engineers and BIM staff, fostering their professional development.
