Job summary

Thoroughbred Architects & Engineers in Kentucky is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead projects from concept to construction in Lexington or Louisville. You will serve as Engineer of Record, manage client relationships, and mentor staff while helping grow the structural practice with full in-house project support. Requirements include a P.E. license; S.E. preferred, 10+ years of experience, and a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (MS preferred).

Qualifications

• P.E. license is required; S.E. preferred.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS preferred.
• Proven project management and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Manage projects from scope/fee through design, permitting, and construction.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and primary client contact.
• Mentor engineers and provide QA/QC on deliverables.
• Help win new work via proposals, client meetings, and business development.
