Job summary

BBA Consultants seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead civil and structural design for heavy industrial projects in mining, energy, and related sectors. You will drive technical leadership, owner coordination, and project delivery from feasibility to construction support.

Expect mentoring of junior staff, risk and cost awareness, and active client interaction to define requirements and provide engineering solutions. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15+ years of relevant civil and structural engineering experience.
• Experience in industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of North American civil/structural design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the civil and structural design of heavy industrial projects from feasibility through construction support.
• Perform engineering analyses and design for civil and structural systems to US codes and standards.
• Design and review foundations, steel/concrete structures, equipment supports, pipe racks, and industrial systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities with mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, env., and PM teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and deliverables for successful execution.
