Job summary

Coffman Engineers Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior Structural Engineer in our San Diego office. The role requires 5–10 years of design experience on commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, with background in new and existing construction.

The candidate should be enthusiastic, collaborative, and able to lead a multidisciplinary team while delivering high-quality structural drawings and coordination with architects, owners, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering is preferred.
• Licensed California Civil (PE) is required.
• Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) is preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in structural design of buildings or similar structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with architect, owner, and contractor to provide coordinated structural drawings.
• Lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with project team to ensure effective design communication.
