Coffman Engineers is seeking a mid-level to senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our San Diego office. The role focuses on the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, including new and existing construction, with leadership over a multidiscipline team.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule and an attractive compensation package, including a discretionary year-end bonus and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred.
• Licensed California Civil (PE) required; SE license preferred.
• Experience with structural computer analysis software systems and Revit design tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide well-coordinated structural drawings.
• Lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
