Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work independently on small and medium projects and lead larger efforts with a project team. You will evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems and products, ensuring design quality and client satisfaction.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in engineering, PE license, and proficiency with Revit and standard structural software (CSI, RISA, RAM).

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 or more years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering and Structural Engineering license are required.
• Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit).
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects.
• Lead junior engineers in complex projects.
• Coordinate with architectural, interiors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, and change orders.
• Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients.
• Understand industry standard design processes and construction means and methods.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, with high client service.
• Assist with the development of design standards.
