Job summary

Cushing Terrell in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Structural Engineer, PE to lead the Boise structural team on site with occasional site visits. You will review and seal work as a licensed PE, coordinate with architecture, MEP, and civil teams, and develop proposals for various markets.

You will mentor Staff and Project Engineers, shape QA/QC standards, and help grow the local practice by building client relationships and driving quality across gravity and lateral systems on multi-material projects.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience leading structural design across gravity and lateral systems.
Ability to seal work as licensed PE and coordinate with architecture, MEP and civil teams.
Strong QA/QC discipline with time management to balance multiple project demands.
Mentor Staff and Project Engineers to raise technical quality.
Develop structural fee proposals and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis for gravity and lateral systems across steel, concrete, wood, and masonry construction on selected projects.
Review, and where licensure allows seal, structural calculations and drawings.
Coordinate directly with architecture, MEP, and civil teams and project managers.
Mentor Staff and Project Engineers to raise team-wide technical quality.
Resolve complex technical and construction administration issues.
Develop structural fee proposals and contracts, and build and maintain client relationships.
Help establish consistent workflows and quality standards for the Boise structural practice.
