Job summary

EAPC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Bemidji, MN to lead structural design and detailing for new, addition, and renovation projects. The role requires PE licensure, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with RAM/RISA/Enercalc.

You will mentor EIT staff and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams. The position reports to the Structural Department Manager, with in-house collaboration across architects, engineers and drafters.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer license required.
8+ years in design and detailing of buildings/structures (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).
Knowledge of applicable building codes for structural design.
Proficient with RAM, RISA, Enercalc or similar programs.
Experience mentoring EITs.
Ability to sign and stamp own and others' work.
Excellent written and verbal communication; detail oriented.
Valid driver's license; US work authorization only.

Responsibilities

Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations for new, additions, and renovations.
Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, civil disciplines.
Edit and write structural specifications.
Perform investigations, feasibility studies, and cost estimates as needed.
Mentor EIT staff and direct CAD/Revit teams.
Perform site visits and construction administration.
Assist project managers with budgets and schedules and proposals.
