Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer in Boston. You will lead structural projects, mentor staff, and ensure delivery while maintaining strong client relationships across the region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of significant experience leading structural engineering projects or teams across varied sectors.
• Experience leading structural projects during construction phase.
• Licensed PE and/or SE.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from diverse stakeholders including senior management and clients.
• Proven track record of client relationship management and project delivery.
• Strong interest in work-winning.

Responsibilities

• Set an example of client care and consultancy to the regional team.
• Represent the firm in design meetings and manage client relationships across the region.
• Conduct site observations, participate in site meetings, respond to contractor queries.
• Lead analysis and design of structural systems for varied building types.
• Mentor engineering and drafting staff and oversee contract documents.
• Participate in project technical/quality reviews.
• Enhance the firm’s reputation as a top structural engineering practice in the region.
