Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc in Memphis, TN seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead a team of civil and structural engineers, guiding projects from concept through construction while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has progressive leadership experience, PE license preferred, extensive knowledge of codes, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university required.
• Structural engineering coursework required for structural-focused positions.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred and may be required depending on project assignments.
• Progressive experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and engineering deliverables.
• Knowledge of civil and structural design principles and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of civil and structural engineers, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Review, approve, and ensure the quality of all civil and structural deliverables; establish design criteria and ensure code compliance.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and labor estimates; monitor project performance and costs.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines, drafting teams, procurement, and construction personnel for seamless execution.
• Prepare and review calculations, sketches, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
