Job summary

JEO Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer – Vertical to lead the planning, analysis, design, and delivery of structural projects for diverse building facilities in the Midwest.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, PE license, and strong knowledge of building codes. You will mentor staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to client relationships and BD efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience in building design and construction.
• Experience managing projects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, and NDS.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects through all phases from concept to construction.
• Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold-formed metal structures.
• Review calculations, plans, and specifications for technical accuracy and code compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts.
