Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support our dynamic infrastructure team in New England. The role can be based in any New England office with a hybrid work schedule and focuses on civil infrastructure including water/wastewater facilities.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil/Structural Eng, PE license (MA or comity within 6 months), 5+ years of structural design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• PE license required; MA license by comity within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years of relevant structural design experience.
• Experience with building and non-building structures incl foundations and tanks.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with IBC/ASCE 7 and related codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design for public infrastructure projects in New England.
• Design buildings and non-building structures for municipal and industrial clients.
• Collaborate with civil and environmental engineers and landscape architects.
• Provide structural analysis and calculations; mentor junior staff.
• Utilize various software tools for structural calculations and drawings.
• Support construction phase services and site investigations.
