Job summary

WSP in the U.S. seeks a structural/civil engineer to support due diligence, design, and construction for building and infrastructure projects in both public and private sectors. You will collect site data, perform analyses, and prepare reports to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years of post-education experience, a structural engineering background, and an Engineer in Training certification. Master’s degree is a plus, with proficiency in multiple design tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of post-education engineering experience.
  • Engineer in Training certification.
  • Knowledge of structural principles, design, codes, and permits.
  • Experience with infrastructure design and construction management.
  • Ability to coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with listed design software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze data from sites, surveys, GIS data for design and construction.
  • Perform professional structural engineering tasks and related research.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners on project goals.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings for presentations.
  • Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality across tasks.
  • Support development and scoping of small- to mid-sized projects.
