Industrial Access, Inc. in Cumming, GA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural analyses and design for industrial smokestacks and chimneys. The role requires PE licensure and hands-on experience with FEA and CAD tools to develop robust models and calculations.

You will produce detailed reports, coordinate with Operations and Project Management, ensure compliance with codes, and mentor junior engineers while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience within an industrial industry or environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural modeling.
• Experience utilizing CAD or construction-related design and engineering software.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and collaborate across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting project deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural assessments and analyses of industrial smokestacks, chimneys, and related structures.
• Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) and engineering software to evaluate structural integrity, performance, and safety.
• Develop detailed structural models and engineering calculations to support project requirements.
• Identify structural deficiencies and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
• Ensure engineering designs and analyses comply with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports documenting structural assessments, calculations, findings, and recommendations.
• Review technical drawings, engineering calculations, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Clearly communicate technical findings and recommendations to internal teams and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and organized engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and Project Management, to support project planning and execution.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise to cross-functional teams.
• Communicate project findings, requirements, and potential challenges to ensure alignment across departments.
• Assist in evaluating project feasibility and developing effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure engineering work meets applicable industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Identify potential structural risks and develop recommendations to address deficiencies.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, reporting standards, and technical procedures.
• Maintain a strong commitment to engineering accuracy, quality, and workplace safety.
