Job summary

ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer 3 located in Houston, Texas. This full-time role involves structural design tasks including executing calculations, coordinating with engineers, and creating drawings for industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, and must hold a Professional Engineer License. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k), and accrued PTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing discipline-specific engineering on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentoring experience, acting as Engineer-of-Record, review/seal designs, and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural calculations.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers.
• Create contractor bid packages.
• Write specifications for projects.
• Review vendor drawings and shop drawings.
