Job summary

ZAP seeks an experienced Structural Engineer 3 in Houston to perform hands-on design of foundations, towers, and structures for heavy industrial facilities. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, review vendor drawings, and produce detailed construction documents and calculations.

The role requires a PE or Structural Engineer license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a Civil Engineering degree. Day shift with potential OT and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing structural engineering on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer license required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment foundations, towers, building structures, pipe racks, platforms, and other structural components for heavy industrial facilities.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers; review vendor drawings; write structural analysis reports.
• Create 3D facility models and construction drawings with Structural AutoCAD; review for accuracy and develop contractor scopes.
