Job summary

Bala Structures is seeking a motivated structural engineer with 5-8 years of experience for our Arlington VA -DC area office. This role will involve design and E.O.R. responsibilities for new construction, renovations and additions, with opportunities to engage across multiple projects and clients.

You will build client relationships, collaborate with MEP teams, and contribute to business development. The position supports a hybrid work model, with an onsite focus and one remote work day per

Qualifications

• Structural engineering degree required with emphasis on structural design.
• Registered EIT with structural focus; PE preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs of new construction, renovations and additions.
• Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
• Support BALA’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Adapt to the varieties of business sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
• Support any path within structural engineering that aligns with BALA’s vision.
