Job summary

ZAP Engineering, based in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Senior Structural Designer to perform hands-on design of foundations, towers, and building structures for heavy industrial facilities. You will develop 3D models and construction drawings in AutoCAD and Advanced Steel, collaborating with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate, complete models.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of industrial design experience with AutoDesk products, plus an Associate’s Degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial design experience using AutoDesk products.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• In addition to the essential duties listed above, this role should have a higher level of interdependence and a higher proficiency level of software and technology.

Responsibilities

• Work with a structural engineer to understand the nature of the design.
• Prepare 3D models of the structural design using AutoCAD and Advanced Steel.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate and complete model.
• Prepare final construction drawings to reflect the engineered/modeled design.
• Update drawings per engineer comments.
