Job summary

LJB Inc. in Dayton, Ohio, seeks a senior-level Structural Engineer to lead fall protection projects within our Safety Practice.

You will analyze, design, plan, and fabricate structural components, guiding teams and coordinating with clients to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions. The role requires a civil/architectural/mechanical engineering degree with structural emphasis, 8+ years of experience, PE license, and hands-on experience with Revit and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in civil/architectural/mechanical engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE license required or in process for senior role.
• Experience in structural design for fall protection projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal teams to complete projects by planning, prioritizing, and setting deadlines.
• Perform QC reviews and oversight of project calculations and deliverables.
• Analyze building components for fall protection systems (steel framing, cold-formed framing, concrete).
• Develop fall protection layouts and coordinate with existing structures.
• Prepare construction documents for installation of fall protection systems.
