Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Energy Group, tackling design and assessment for energy-related facilities across North America. The role emphasizes structural analysis, steel design, and retrofit solutions for midstream pipeline infrastructure.

The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and support projects through planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (Structures) and PE license.
8+ years of experience in structural analysis, steel design, and engineering support for industrial/energy projects.
Proficiency in structural analysis software: RAM Elements, RISA, STAAD, Tekla Tedds, SAP2000.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete systems for energy, industrial, and midstream pipeline projects.
Develop calculations for framing, pipe racks, equipment platforms, foundations and retrofit solutions.
Evaluate loading conditions (gravity, wind, seismic, etc.) per codes and standards.
Prepare engineering reports, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
