Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to provide design support and construction oversight for DoD facilities. You will lead complex structural tasks, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and contribute to proposals and client engagements across the United States.

Required: a Bachelor’s in engineering, a Master’s in structural engineering, and a PE license; 8+ years of experience; proficiency with REVIT and major structural software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred.
• PE license required with ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• US citizenship required for DoD projects.
• Proficient with IBC and structural standards (ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, TMS 402/602).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering tasks for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering design for projects.
• Develop technical specifications and scope of work.
• Coordinate structural activities with other disciplines.
• Prepare geotechnical investigation requests.
• Participate in proposals, client meetings, and presentations.
• Commit to quality and continuous improvement through innovation.
• Conduct constructability, buildability, and maintainability reviews.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; provide technical assistance.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess contractor performance.
